BAS-7030-RS Processor Module

• Modbus RTU Slave I/O
• High Performance 8-bit RISC Processor (PIC18F8722)
• 128K Flash in circuit programmable
• Dual serial ports, one RS-485 and one RS-232
• I/O expansion bus supports 8 BAS-700 series I/O modules
• 2 Amp power supply, 10-30VDC or 12-24VAC input
• 50-pin flat flex cable for custom I/O expansion
• ICD2 in circuit debug port included
• Snap track mounting, 3.25"H x 3.10"W
• -40C to +85C operating range, 5-90% RH

The BAS-7030-RS processor module features a high performance 8-bit RISC processor with Modbus RTU communications capability. This brings the entire series of BAS-700 I/O modules to Modbus over RS-485. You can mix and match a variety of point counts and types for your own custom Modbus RTU I/O node. IMPORTANT: This module is intended for engineering use only, for rapid prototyping of custom systems. This board does not come preloaded with software. You must use the Microchip MPLAB to create your own software. We will provide example drivers for the I/O boards and for Modbus RTU protocol. Click here for more.

BAS-7030-RM Processor Module

• Modbus RTU Master Gateway
Supports 240 16-bit integer registers plus 80 32-bit floating point registers
• High Performance 8-bit RISC Processor (PIC18F8722)
• 128K Flash in circuit programmable
• Dual serial ports, one RS-485 and one RS-232 (Modbus RTU uses the RS-485 port)
• 50-pin flat flex cable for custom I/O expansion
• ICD2 in circuit debug port included
• Snap track mounting, 3.25"H x 3.10"W
• -40C to +85C operating range, 5-90% RH

The BAS-7030-RM processor module is the Modbus gateway version of the 7030 board. It allows the same BAS-7050 based i.CanDoIt system to include local I/O plus remote Modbus I/O. The remote I/O is mapped to local registers which are in turn accessible through i.CanDoIt as Modbus TCP registers or SNMP MIB objects.

BAS-7030 Modbus I/O Tracks are Expandable

The system shown here includes 8 discrete inputs and 8 relay outputs, all accessible via Modbus. Over sixteen different types of I/O modules are available, and may be used in any combination of up to 8 per processor.

BAS-700 brings a building block approach to Ethernet I/O.
