Data Managers - The Internet Gateway These data managers are a special form of gateway. They communicate with local devices using local area network protocols such as Modbus, LonWorks, and BACnet. They transmit data, with emphasis on event driven data for alarm monitoring, to a central server via Internet. These devices provide economical central monitoring of relatively unsophisticated devices spread over a wide area. The remote monitoring devices are intended for wide area deployment. The server receives periodic data log updates and event driven alarm notifications from these devices. The server will in turn issue notifications to the notification list via email and/or SMS text message. You log into your account on the web portal to view a status summary of all your devices, or to look at details about any one remote site. You also make changes to monitoring criteria via the web portal |

Model DM2-MOD provides the Internet gateway for Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP devices. The DM2-MOD can be RTU (RS485) master or slave, and TCP client and server. The internal web pages are used to create rules using templates to implement event driven alarm monitoring and reporting.

Model DM2-LON provides the Internet gateway for LonWorks Free Topology devices. The DM2-LON includes local device management and uses unbound polling to minimize network management.
