WiFi Gateways for Wireless Sensors and Actuators

WiFi, including low power WiFi for battery operated devices, is growing in popularity for connecting sensors and actuators within a local area. The benefit, especially with battery operated devices, is elimination of wiring. Control Solutions' Babel Buster family of gateways has a growing list of supported WiFi sensors and actuators. In addition, Babel Buster ZigBee gateways are available for support of legacy MaxStream profile ZigBee devices.

BB2-7010 WiFi Sensor to BACnet IP, Modbus, SNMP Gateway

Babel Buster

BB2-7010

Babel Buster BB2-7010-06 features support for Point Six and AirTest WiFi sensors. Babel Buster BB2-7010-07 features support for Veris Industries WiFi sensors. Babel Buster BB2-7010-08 features support for Functional Devices WiFi RIB relays and sensors. Each includes BACnet/IP client and server, Modbus TCP client and server (master and slave), SNMP client and server (agent), and Modbus RTU master and slave. Sensor data is available from (and actuators controlled by, where applicable) BACnet objects, Modbus registers, or SNMP OID's.

Connect Maxstream ZigBee Devices to Modbus RTU and TCP

BB2-6040 ZigBee to Modbus RTU and TCP Gateway

Babel Buster

BB2-6040

Babel BusterĀ® BB2-6040 is a Modbus TCP client/server and Modbus RTU master/slave device that functions as a ZigBee Coordinator and gateway. After setting up the appropriate mappings in the BB2-6040, data from MaxStream ZigBee sensors will appear as Modbus holding registers on Modbus TCP or Modbus RTU. Data written to Modbus registers can also be propagated to MaxStream ZigBee actuators by the BB2-6040. Up to 400 registers may be mapped to up to 100 ZigBee devices.

BB2-7040 ZigBee to BACnet IP, MS/TP Gateway

Babel Buster

BB2-7040

Babel BusterĀ® BB2-7040 is a BACnet client/server device that functions as a ZigBee Coordinator and gateway. After setting up the appropriate mappings in the BB2-7040, data from ZigBee sensors (MaxStream profile) will appear as BACnet objects on BACnet IP and/or BACnet MS/TP. Data written to BACnet objects can also be propagated to ZigBee actuators by the BB2-7040. The BB2-7040 supports both BACnet IP and BACnet MS/TP. BBMD and COV support are included. Up to 400 objects may be mapped to up to 100 ZigBee devices.
