Quick Help

Click "Refresh" to view the current time. Enter a new time and click "Change" to set the clock/calendar. Use the same string format observed when changing time/date.

To apply daylight savings time, select the rules as needed, check whether in effect now, check whether enabled, and click Update. The time and date are maintained in the battery backed real time clock chip; however, daylight savings time settings are saved in the configuration file. Therefore, to retain these settings through a power cycle, be sure to save the configuration file.

The astronomical clock may be referenced in the scheduler instead of time of day. To set the astronomical clock, set local time and also enter the location information. North is positive for latitude, and east is positive (west is negative) for longitude. Time zone is offset from GMT. As an example, Chicago is latitude +41.83, longitude -87.75, time zone +6. Sunrise/sunset calculations are typically within 1-2 minutes of those calculated by the US Naval Observatory. Click US Geological Surveyto go to a web site useful for looking up latitude and longitude of virtually any US location.
