This section does not do any configuration, but is extremely useful for testing a configuration once a LonWorks device is connected.
Diagnostic Read/Write
Object: Enter an object number or scroll to an object number 1 through 155. These translate into AI 1-100, AV 1-5, BI 1-40, and BV 1-10. The abbreviated object name is shown below the object number. This object number is used for reading and writing the Present Value, for setting In/Out of Service status, and reading Reliability.
Present Value: Enter a value to be written to a writeable object, or simply observe the value returned by reading an object.
Priority: AI/BI values do not require a priority to write (if writeable). AV/BV values do require a priority level unless the object is out of service. Select the priority level to be used in writing the object.
Read: Click this button to read the Present Value.
Write: Click this button to write the Present Value, using the selected priority level if applicable.
Relinquish: Check this box, then click the Write button, to relinquish a previously written priority level.
Relinquish Default
This section of the screen will only be active for AV (Analog Value) or BV (Binary Value) objects. Only commandable objects have a relinquish default. This is the default value that the object will assume when all priority values have been relinquished. This value is stored in non-volatile memory. Once set, it will remain even after a power cycle.
The object number shown in the left end of the diagnostic area is the object that is affected by this relinquish default setting.
Value: Enter the value that the object should assume upon all priority values being relinquished.
Read: Click this button to read the value from the gateway.
Write: Click this button to write the value to the gateway.
Service and Reliability
In Service: Click this button to set the object number shown at the left to "In Service".
Out Of Service button: Click this button to set the object number shown at the left to "Out of Service".
Reliability: This code will be updated each time the Read button directly below is clicked. A value of 0 means there are no problems. Values between 1 and 63 are defined by BACnet standards. Values from 64 and up reflect LonWorks related error codes applicable to this object.
Out Of Service check box: This box shows the status of the object as found when the Read button nearby is clicked.
Fault: This box shows the state of the fault flag for this object. If checked, the object is in fault.
Read: Click this button to get the present Reliability and status flags for the object number shown at the left.
Query: Click this button to cause the gateway to refresh the reliability information for the object indexed by Object number at the left.
